Tim Tebow’s girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, has supposedly dumped the NFL quarterback for his Christian abstinence beliefs. Apparently, Tebow was teased constantly for supposedly not wanting to to have sex with the former Miss Universe and Miss USA.
The 28-year-old Philadelphia Eagles quarterback player has been publicly open regarding his plan to stay a "virgin" until the day he gets married - exactly the reason for the break-up.
Tim was feeling wrecked. “He was really into her,” a source told the Daily News, “He was sending her love letters and cute notes and professing his love for her. She had to break up with him because she just couldn’t handle it. He still hits her up, but she just can’t deal with the sex thing. He’s pretty adamant about it, I guess.”
Tebow liked Culpo a lot, but her heart just wasn’t ready for a new romance. “He was very into her,” the source tells Us. “But she just got out of a long-term relationship, and was not interested.”
Olivia Culpo and Tim Tebow only started dating a few months ago. They were first linked this fall, shortly after Culpo's split from longtime boyfriend Nick Jonas. Olivia began dating Nick after meeting at the 2013 Miss USA competition and he announced their split back in June.
The former Miss USA was open about her heartbreak, Jonas had nothing but good things to say about his ex.
On the other hand, Tebow is known for his outspoken Christian faith. He preached to schools and villages, and assisted in medical care. Tebow supports more than 40 national evangelists working in the Philippines.
In 2011, CURE and the Tebow Foundation announced plans to build a children's hospital in the Philippines, the country where Tebow was born. The Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City, on the island of Mindanao, will hold 30 beds and will specialize in orthopedics.
