With only a few weeks away from the premiere, there is still no shortage on new 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' TV spots and teasers that show more previously-unseen footage. However, the new Disney Channel featurette puts the focus on Rey, who is played by Daisy Ridley in 'Episode VII.' And yes, there are a few new scenes in the video.
The Disney Channel On The Set clip has the host asking the young actress about Rey, who is still one of the mysterious and interesting characters in the movie.
"She is so wonderful," Ridley said of the protagonist. "She is vulnerable and she's strong. She's a scavenger on the desert planet Jakku but she's searching for new experiences and new adventures."
Daisy Ridley also admitted that she was a big fan of the original movies and is understandably thrilled to be part of the new trilogy.
"It's been really special," she confirmed. "I love the films, but obviously now being a part of it, it's been really amazing. And it's all really fun on set."
In addition to that, Daisy Ridley shared why the children will enjoy 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens.'
"I think mostly kids are really gonna love it, they can really connect with the characters," she said. "BB-8 is amazing," she adds. "We're packed with creatures. That's really cool."
A new scene also shows Rey fixing BB-8 and asking about the droid's origins. However, the little robot had an interesting response to which she reacts: "Classified? Really?"
It has previously been confirmed that BB-8 belongs to Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), who is a pilot for the Resistance. In a 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Look and Find book, it is revealed that BB-8 has an important message from Lor San Tekka (Max von Sydow).
'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' hits theaters on December 18.
