Ginger Alden New Memoir - It's called "Elvis & Ginger" and it makes account of the Last Days of the King. Ginger had an interview with Today magazine, where she revealed certain passages of it.
Since yesterday, Ginger Alden's new Memoir has been on sale. It can be found in Amazon and as a subtext, it reads "Elvis Presley's fiancée and last love finally tells her story."
Thirty-seven years after Elvis's death, where a lot was left on hold regarding his life, finally there is some light to be shed on the ashes with this new Memoir by Ginger Alden.
She became Elvis's girlfriend in 1976 and he proposed to her two months after being together, so all in all, they spent less than a year as a couple. It is a well-known fact that Ginger found Elvis on his bathroom floor unresponsive.
At the interview held by Today about Ginger Alden's new Memoir, the woman in question revealed some interesting facts.
First, that Elvis wasn't overweight. He used a lot of salt in his meals and sometimes he might have looked puffed up, especially on camera, but she never saw him as overweight and actually thought he was a very handsome man.
Second, Elvis proposed to her in the Palatial Master Bedroom in Graceland, which was apparently his favorite room and his sanctuary.
Third, and the most important one perhaps as it could clear some doubts, she said that on the night he died, he had taken two strong sleeping pills, which were medicated due to a chronic insomnia. She wonders if it might have had anything to do with the heart attack.
Until today, many things about the life of Elvis Presley remain as a mystery. Not too much about him personally was known, so this book comes as a surprise.
Ginger Alden's new Memoir might tell all those things that were left unsaid.
