When it comes to priorities, Adele wants to set the records straight - her kid goes above her music career.
Now 27 years old, the singer shares how motherhood has changed her life's perspective. During an interview, Adele admits that she has her son tag along with her wherever she goes. She doesn't want to leave him behind all by himself for a long time. Being a mom helps her concentrate, she adds. Her son would be the first and last person that she sees in a day.
Adele went on a career hiatus when she got pregnant in 2012. She gave birth to Angelo. Her son was also one reason she only released her album in 2015. She made time for the kid, enjoying every moment of it.
Adele and her partner, Simon Konecki, are hands-on parents to Angelo. She admits that she feels emotional when she's away from her son for too long.
All went well for her comeback music though. Even after being away for almost four years, her single "Hello" has been on top of the charts ever since its release. This is despite the fact that today's music market is dominated by upbeat pop tracks and her songs are more of the laidback melodramatic musical pieces. As of date, sales of her album have surpassed 3 million copies in the US.
There is no stopping her from gaining more album sales. Barnes and Noble Inc. noted that people ordered a lot of the album online from them.
In an interesting move, she snubbed streaming her songs in Apple Music and Spotify, and gave the streaming privilege to Pandora Media Inc.
Just recently, she has announced her tour schedule for 2016. The tour will start in February and ends in June.
It seems that Adele is doing the right decisions. She is one proof that life is not just about being a famous celebrity, it also means making sure you have time for those that really matter - family.
