Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth Takes Friendship to The Next Level, Are They Finally Dating? [RUMORS]

Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth are reportedly open to dating, now that the "Hunger Games" franchise is finally over.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" co-stars have been close, and even best friends since the beginning of the action fantasy series.

Lawrence, 25, and Hemsworth, 25, are both currently single, and now would be the perfect time to take their friendship to the next level.

Apparently, Liam Hemsworth had been wanting to date Jennifer Lawrence for quite some time. According to insiders, Miley Cyrus' ex-boyfriend just recently mustered up courage to ask Lawrence out after years of working together.

Mirror reported that according to Heat magazine, Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth dating would not be a surprise to other cast members who knew from the start that the two are perfect for each other. They reportedly think the best friends would be compatible in many ways.

"Everyone knows what's going on, the chemistry is so obvious," a source told Heat magazine.

"They're so compatible, and it's not just about looking good together. They have the same sense of humour - when they're together, they laugh non-stop," the source added.

The insiders added that Hemsworth has always been open to dating the "Silver Linings Playbook" star. Sources close to the actress say that it was the Oscar winner herself who wanted to keep things slow and is wary of entering another high-profile relationship especially after breaking up with actor Nicholas Hoult. The sources added that Jen really isn't ready to date seriously again.

Meanwhile, the Heat magazine source said that Liam wants more than anything to be in a relationship with Lawrence,

"He's said more than a few times that she's his dream girl. And so many of their friends think they'd be perfect together," the source said, adding, "It's frustrating for everyone that Jennifer refuses to admit it."

According to Yibada, when Lawrence sat down with Nylon magazine, the actress revealed how lucky she thinks she is for having Hemsworth as a best friend. She even said that it was unbelievable for her to have someone that good looking to be one of her closest confidantes.

"I just would never assume those things could happen, but he is. He's the most wonderful, lovable, family-oriented, sweet, hilarious, amazing guy," Lawrence said.

While none of Chris Hemsworth or Jennifer Lawrence's reps have confirmed the rumors, it appears that the "Hunger Games" co-stars might have a chance of hooking up. Of course, only time will tell if a Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Hemsworth romance is indeed possible, or if such a pairing would last.
