U2 Sets New Date For HBO Concert In Paris

Irish rock band U2 sets another date for their HBO concert in Paris, which has been rescheduled to take place on December 7, Monday, as confirmed by the band and HBO on Monday, according to reports.

The band was originally scheduled to perform in Paris on November 15, but was later postponed in the wake of the shocking Paris attacks that took place Friday, November 13, which resulted in more than 130 deaths and hundreds of injured were reported.

Reports say that the concert will be shot live at the Accorhotels Arena in Paris, which will also be shown exclusively on HBO during the same day at 9 to 11:30 PM.

"So much that was taken from Paris on the tragic night of November 13th is irreplaceable." U2 front man Bono said. "For one night, the killers took lives, took music, took peace of mind, but they couldn't steal the spirit of that city."

As Bono emotionally spoke up about the tragic Paris attacks, he didn't miss out putting the assurance that the band will be at its best to serve when they get back from their postponed shows.

"We're going to put on our best for Paris." He added.

Not too long after the band's scheduled shows were pulled out, U2's tour handler and producer Arthur Fogel immediately issued a statement posted on the band's website.

The statement reads, "The band wanted us to reschedule as soon as possible so that they could honor the commitment to their audience."

Aside from the HBO shows, U2 also postponed one concert originally scheduled one day after the attacks. The rescheduled show will take place on December 6, Sunday.

As for the tickets, reports say that purchased in-person tickets dated November 14 will be valid on December 6 and tickets dated November 15 will be valid on December 7.
