Nicki Minaj was Criticized by Safaree Samuels On Twitter After the American Music Awards

The American rapper with a Jamaican background - Safaree Samuels, just criticized the rapper and songwriter Nicki Minaj via Twitter, and the beef was all about the Young Money Record label rapper winning an award at the 2015 American Music Awards (AMA).

The 'Super Bass' singer won Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and thanked Drake (who was recognized for his character as Jimmy Brooks on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation during her acceptance speech.

Apparently, Safaree Samuels (who started his career in the rap group Hoodstars) felt he should have been credited alongside Nicki Minaj too, and then he took it upon himself to claim his ex-girlfriend's award.

Safaree Samuels wrote on his Twitter account, "Heard I won an award. The pen is always mightier than the sword. December 1st 'It Is What It Is Vol. 2.'"

The post of Safaree Samuels on Twitter came just days after the news came up that he's suing former girlfriend Nicki Minaj for back royalties. As stated by numerous reports, Safaree Samuels wants to be paid for writing on Nicki Minaj's albums and helping Nicki in putting together some of her biggest hits.

At this point, there's no word that has surfaced on how much Safaree Samuels is actually suing Nicki Minaj for, but, undoubtedly it's not for a small amount.

On the other hand, it has been reported that some people thought that Nicki Minaj was throwing shades at the American actress, dancer, producer, and singer - Jennifer Lopez, after the Bronx beauty performed a rendition of "Anaconda."

Nicki Minaj posted amid the criticism, "Ya'll searching for a bad photo to post with all the beautiful pics from tonight floating around. Lemme give ya'll some love, cuz the person who posted this clearly needs a hug."

Eventually, Nicki Minaj posted, "I also wanna give my babies more love, hugs and kisses for reppin' me tonight. Working on so much more amazing things to share with you. Tag these mofos in all the beautiful pics from tonight. LOL. We really had a great time."
