Carly Simon's Memoir Reveals Sean Connery's Threesome Proposal

Carly Simon unveiled everything about her life through her memoir Boys in the Trees. She uncovered everything from her childhood, marriage, divorce, her rise to fame, including how she politely declined Sean Connery's threesome proposal.

The 70 year old legendary musician revealed that she almost had a sexual encounter with the James Bond star Sean Connery. She said it was back in 1965 and the actor was in the height of his fame when they met. Carly was only 20 years old at that time when she was on a boat with her sister Lucy, 22 year old. They were sailing from England to New York when they found out that the actor was one of the passenger.

Both sisters sent a note to Sean, who was 35 year old then and was married to Diane Cilento. They informed the actor that they are not an "ordinary fans" and their father was the one who founded the Simon & Schuster.

After reading the note, Connery who was described by Carly as "far handsomer in person" as per The Hollywood Reporter, met up with the girls. The actor entertained them with stories, including his trips. The following night, the James Bond star invited both girls to his cabin for a drink. But later on the detective actor proposed to them a "menage a trois" or "as one of their friends called it a Simon sisters sandwich."

It took some minutes before they understood what he is trying to propose to them. And although she adores the actor so much, she however politely declined the offer.

But the next night, her sister Lucy solely went to Sean's cabin and returned to their room at around 5:15 am. Carly was so mad at her sister and broke up their musical act when they landed in New York.

Boys in the Trees is deemed as one of the "best celebrity memoirs of the year" as stated by Billboard.
