Eddie Redmayne who won an Oscar for playing the role of Stephen Hawking in 'The Theory of Everything' just had a new interesting and challenging role to portray. Redmayne will play the characters Einar Wegener, a landscape painter and Lili Elbe, a woman. Yes, he will be playing both parts in one film. The film shows the transition of the painter as a man to a woman. The film's setting is set n 1920's Copenhagen, when doctors believed that this occurrence is a mental disorder.

According to NY Daily News, 33-year old Redmayne said that several of the transgender women he met had shared to him what they felt the first time they went out and were judged. He even added that the transwomen were also terrified that maybe judgments may be associated with violence.

A line in the film where Lili said "Do you think I'm pretty enough?" was the similar question Redmayne was thinking about. He already filled in several female roles during his high school and professional career.

The preparations for the film "The Danish Girl" took a long time. News reported by Vogue said that while the film was still being prepared, producer Tom Hooper was already sure that Redmayne will play the parts of Einar and Lili. "There's certain gender fluidity to Eddie," said Tom Hooper. "He has this extraordinary translucency, this way his emotion can come through."

Eddie Redmayne had one great experience of what it felt like being a transgender woman. He experienced what it felt like being judged because of one's sexuality.

The award-winning actor will also star in JK Rowling's Harry Potter spin-off 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.'
