It's been nearly a year since the release of the first female-led Marvel Cinematic Universe production, and as the second one ("A.K.A. Jessica Jones") approaches its release next Friday, the "Agent Carter" season 2 draws nearer as well - and Hayley Atwell's Agent Peggy Carter is back in form, now on the west coast!
As it had been reported months back, the "Agent Carter" season 2 will change its setting from 1940s New York City to Los Angeles, in what has been billed as a heavily "L.A. Confidential" kind of deal, with a lot of noir intrigue as well as major ass-kicking from Captain America's MCU girlfriend.
According to Hit Fix, it's still unclear why exactly Peggy moves to L.A. on the "Agent Carter" season 2, though it's clear that this is her "most dangerous assignment yet," as the spy hits Hollywood in the ongoing quest to fight the Cold War from the sides.
As Cinema Blend reports, the first official trailer for the "Agent Carter" season 2 was teased on Twitter ahead of its official release, as she was shown in a relaxing drive in sunny palm tree-filled California - though of course things heated up from then on as she starts kicking ass as we all know she can.
"Marvel's Agent Carter returns for a second season of adventure and intrigue, starring Hayley Atwell in the titular role of the unstoppable agent for the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve)," reads the "Agent Carter" season 2, synopsis, via Comic Book. "Dedicated to the fight against new Atomic Age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home - and perhaps even a new love - she's about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect."
