Microsoft Unveils New Cyber Defense Operations Center To Prevent Hackers

Microsoft has just unveiled their new Cyber Defense Operations Center in the hope of strengthening their security system.

The American multinational company revealed their new security defense in order to protect the company for hacking attacks. The new Cyber Defense Operations Center features protection and security to some of the Microsoft's popular apps such as Azure cloud, Windows 10 and Office 365. A new Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite was also revealed by the company.

The announcement was revealed during the Microsoft Cloud Forum in Washington D.C. In the said event, Satya Nadella explained the necessity of addressing a new approach for security system, in order to protect software from malicious attacks like phishing attacks, malware and social engineering.

"We live in a world where the attacks can come from anywhere, the attackers themselves are much more sophisticated," Microsoft CEO warned.

With the said problem, the new Cyber Defense Operations Center of Microsoft was installed. The new center is said to have a state of the art facilities together with the company's best security intelligence.

According to Nadella, the whole center will be made of security experts, data analysts, developers, engineers, program managers and operations specialists. With this group of people, it is expected that the facility will offer a reliable protection system evolving their security to a "mobile-first, cloud-first world."

While other security firms were already known for similar features and services, Microsoft stated that their new system still offers a better performance as the company will be more focused in delivering cloud services to both consumers and enterprises.

Recently, it can be observed that Microsoft is focusing their investment in cyber security and services. Just last week, the American technology company purchased the Israeli cyber security firm called the Secure Islands for $150 million. Last June, Nadella also announced that one of their three key of investment for the future includes the creation of an "intelligent cloud platform".
