After actor Charlie Sheen dropped massive news about him being infected with HIV, Hollywood has mixed emotions. Some took pity on him, some thought he deserved it and there are some who are showing their sympathy and encouraging him that it is not too late and there is still hope.
One of those people who would like to shed light to Sheen's situation is former basketball star Magic Johnson.
The former athlete and now a person who spearheads projects on the advocacy on educating people about HIV, took to Twitter with what he has to say to Sheen. Johnson is also HIV positive, which is why he knows exactly what the actor is going through. He knows how difficult it must be for him to be around all these media and people who are now all up in his health business.
Johnson posted on his Twitter his thoughts about the whole news on Sheen and that he wishes him and his family the best. He even said that nothing is impossible now because of modern medicine. He is positive that the actor would be able to fight HIV and could experience long life. The former NBA star Tweeted right after Sheen broke the news on his exclusive interview at The Today show.
People Magazine wrote that Johnson first came out in the news about him being HIV positive in 1991. He is now 56 years old and is still active in fighting this terrifying disease. He built his own Magic Johnson Foundation in order to help other HIV and AIDS victim be alleviated and educated on what they could do to fight the disease.
Johnson also added to his tweet, "In @CharlieSheen breaking his silence, I hope he joins me in educating the world about HIV/AIDs." Charlie Sheen first learned about him being HIV positive back in 2011.
