'Frozen 2' News & Update: Will Olaf Fall In love with a Human Being or a Snow Girl? Plus, All-new Details We Know!

Several reports claimed that Olaf will fall in love in "Frozen 2."

Cross Map reported that Olaf will have a love interest in "Frozen 2." As a matter of fact, The Telegraph revealed that John Gad who is the voice behind Olaf hinted that the incredibly popular sidekick will have a female counterpart in the forthcoming sequel.

"It has to happen. Not only for the plot, but for the merchandise. Olaf is one of the most beloved Disney sidekicks ever created, and with Anna and Kristoff romantically entangled, and Elsa happy ruling her kingdom and getting to grips with her ice powers, blossoming romance is in Olaf's court," the entertainment news outlet reported. "He is an incredibly popular character choice for people making Frozen cakes, so Olaf plus lady friend would send the cuteness factor over the edge."

Additionally, Josh expressed his excitement for "Frozen 2." "I'm just excited that they announced it. I have complete faith in the creative team and I'm excited to hear that it's happening at this point," he said to E! News.

To recall, Disney announced that "Frozen 2" has been given green light last March. "Forecast: Winter weather ahead! @DisneyAnimation developing #Frozen2 with Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee."

The upcoming sequel is reportedly going to have a "magical twist" happening between sisters Elsa and Anna wherein the younger sister of Arrendale will be the focus of the second movie. However, filmmakers Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee denounced the reports and said that Anna's only superpower is love.

Considering that Disney is packed with three more movies before "Frozen 2" can be developed, it won't be released before 2018. It can be recalled that the first "Frozen" movie was released two years after its announcement, which means fans have to wait a little more.

Apart from Josh, Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell will be back for "Frozen 2." Kristen tweeted the announcement with funny photos of her alongside a bag of ice.

Last March, she told the Huffington Post that she will always be ready for a "Frozen" sequel. "Should my phone ring, I will be there in a heartbeat," Kristen said.
