Ageless Beauty: Science Tells You the Secret to Looking Younger

According to Dr. Samlee Plianbangchang, WHO Regional Director for South-East Asia Region, "Ageing is a natural and inevitable process." Though it is unavoidable, no one prevents you from enjoying your older days while still maintaining your youthful vigor. Here are five anti-aging tips that would make you feel and look younger than you really are.

Stay fit by Exercising. According to a study released in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, the percentage of dying at an earlier age and experiencing various health ailments for older people is greater for those who are not engaged in physical activities than to those who exercise.

NHS choices advised older people to get active as much as possible as they age. "As you get older, it becomes even more important to remain active if you want to stay healthy and maintain your independence. If you don't stay active, all the things you've always enjoyed doing and taken for granted may start to become that little bit harder. If you want to stay pain-free, reduce your risk of mental illness, and be able to go out and stay independent well into old age, you are advised to keep moving."

Updo your Hairstyle- Dying or cutting your hair may give you a younger look. Colorist Tom Dispenza of the Peter Emmand Studio in New York City suggested, "Don't go to extremes. Anything too dark accentuates the drabness of a complexion that's become less rosy and more ashy." For hair length, shorter haircut shows more the angle of the face. "The angle creates the illusion of lifted cheekbones and a higher jaw, making the bob a great choice if your face is showing the effects of gravity and your skin is starting to sag," Jessica Gillin celebrity hairstylist of the Marie Robinson Salon in New York City, stated.

Go for Lighter Makeup. Most women would think that putting on heavier make-up is better as it covers some signs of ageing such as wrinkles. But Roberto Morelli, product developer for the Lauren Hutton Good Stuff makeup collection suggested to "Keep it Natural." Lesser make-up creates a younger look since make-up tends to highlight the lines of the face and make a person looks more matured.
