He also stated that despite Stallone's advancing years, he continues to be a capable boxer, saying, ''He taught me how to throw punches and hit me in my chest a couple times. Old dog's still got a little bite to him!''

On July 2013, it was announced that Jordan will portray the role of the son of Apollo Creed in the Rocky's spinoff Creed, a film directed by Ryan Coogler, that will also feature Sylvester Stallone.

Jordan prepared for his role as a boxer in Creed by undertaking one year of accurate physical training and a strict low-fat diet.

He did not have a body double during filming and was "routinely bloodied, bruised and dizzy" when fighting scenes were being filmed.

On 2014, Jordan was one of the cast of Josh Boone's Pretenders, and he co starred in That Awkward Moment, with Zac Efron and MilesTeller.

While in 2015, he starred as Johnny Storm, the Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movie.

On November 25, he will star in the first trailer for the upcoming Rocky spinoff Creed as Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky Balboa's (Sylvester Stallone) former enemy in the octagon, Apollo Creed.

Though Apollo died before Jordan's character was born, boxing runs through his blood, leaving him no choice but to seek out Stallone as a potential trainer.
