Harrison Ford Excited for ‘Indiana Jones 5’, Still Grumpy about ‘Star Wars’

Did you know that although many consider Han Solo a favorite in the Star Wars world, the actor that originally played him on screen doesn't share the same sentiments? That's right. Harrison Ford doesn't love the fact that he played the infamous smuggler in the universe. He'd rather play the adventurous Indiana Jones - and still wants to!

But that doesn't mean he's going to stop acting. In an exclusive interview, he said "I was glad that the character was alive for me to play in this new iteration." And this was the only time Ford, being known for his very deadpan face or stoic expressions, seemed generally elated.

Trying to be social because he is never comfortable in interviews, Ford spills his take on Han Solo. He has a background in flying but that doesn't mean he shares the same sentiment. Ford claims that Han Solo was the most cynical member of the group. He was the guy that says "What? Huh? Come on." And according to Ford, in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film, Solo hasn't really changed much. "There's a lot of rogue still left in Solo. Some things don't change."

There have been talks about making a Han Solo spin-off and Ford's thoughts on the matter is simple: He thinks the part will be played by a younger Han Solo. And he says this with a smile.

While most of his talk focused more on Star Wars, he didn't fail to veer a little bit off course and talked about the possibility of making a fifth Indiana Jones installment with Director Steven Spielberg. "What's not to like?" he concluded, being that he's more excited about a character with history and that's directed by Spielberg himself.
