Finding Dory Swims Its Way Online

After roughly 12 years, Disney Pixar has finally released its first-ever official trailer for the Finding Nemo sequel focusing more on the Nemo's buddy Dory, which is voiced by Ellen DeGeneres.

The trailer shows Dory, an amnesiac and clumsy blue tang, showing her tendency to "mumble general gibberish while dosing and even sleep-swim." However, Nemo and Marlin begin to notice that she is subconsciously searching for her family. Thus, Finding Dory basically revolves on Dory setting off in a journey to find her family.

According to Pixar President Jim Morris, "The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised."

Originally, the plan was to have Dory end up in a marine park, but everything changed when the documentary "Blackfish" was shown.

Albert Brooks will be the voice of Marlin. Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy are the voiced behind Dory's parents, Jenny and Charlie. Alexander Gould, who voiced Nemo in the first film, has been replaced after his voice has deepened.

New characters will also be introduced in the sequel. "We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others," Morris said.

Finding Nemo director Andrew Stanton is also took over the sequel's script. He is being joined by Angus Maclane. The movie is set to show June and July of next year in the US and the UK, respectively.

Released in May 2003, the first movie, Finding Nemo, grossed more than $878million worldwide. The movie also won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Finding Nemo tells the story of Nemo on his way to finding his father and clan after being caught by a diver and put in an aquarium. He finds Dory along the way.

The first trailer can be seen in the DeGeneres YouTube channel.
