Bindi Irwin Unveils the Second Person Fighting an Illness on Dancing with the Stars

The three-time Grammy Award-nominated American R&B singer, actress and talk show host - Tamar Braxton, wasn't the only contestant battling sickness on Monday's episode of the American television series - Dancing with the Stars.

Though the other Dancing with the Stars hopeful wasn't hospitalized like Tamar Braxton, the Australian actress and television presenter - Bindi Irwin, states that her dance pro partner Derek Hough (American professional Latin and choreographer) has been dealing with strep throat the entire week.

The daughter of Steve Irwin (star of the The Crocodile Hunter) - Bindi Irwin, said, "Derek Hough turned ghost-white. All the colors washed away from Derek Hough's face, and I could tell that my partner wasn't well."

The 30 year old Derek Hough, who is also a ballroom dancer, actor, singer and songwriter, confesses that he couldn't even drive himself home at the end of the night and he had to ask his father to get him home safely.

After this week's Dancing with the Stars show, Derek Hough stated, "I've had two IVs this week with fluids and vitamins. Any time I get sick, I pump myself with vitamins. I've been making an effort of hot and cold saunas and antibiotics and lots of water."

The goodnews is that all their hardwork and sacrifice paid off! The 17-year-old Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough received perfect 10s from the Dancing with the Stars judges for their Viennese waltz performance on Monday, but Bindi Irwin said that it was hard getting performance-ready with her partner suffering.

Bindi Irwin said, "Honestly, every single day I always wanted to say, 'Let's just lay down' for the reason that you could see the pain. I have no idea how he walked into that rehearsal room every day. I just have the desire to take all his pain from him. His strength, dedication and firmness of purpose was mind-blowing. Derek Hough is the greatest person to be around."
