A 28-year old Chinese man from Beijing, who is said to have terminal cancer, finally solved a most pressing dilemma. While the man desperately wanted to experience the fancy pageantry of a wedding, he did not have the heart to leave behind a grieving, heartbroken widow.
The man resolved the situation by wedding a life-like inflatable doll.
China's CCTV says of the curious business: "Some netizens recently revealed that the man is actually suffering from a deadly cancer.
"In order not to hurt other people's feelings, he chose to marry an artificial doll instead of a real person."
The innovative Beijing groom decided to have the full experience of the traditional Chinese fancy wedding photo shoot. He presently hired a professional make-up artist and had a beautiful wedding gown readied for his original bride.
A professional wedding photographer was on-hand for the unusual wedding. When asked about her thoughts on the story, the photographer revealed that she did not necessarily agree with the man's decision to marry a doll. However, she believed that the man's right to personal freedom should be respected.
Taste and elegance were quite apparent themes in the series of wedding photos of the "happy" couple. In some of the shots, the man could be seen tenderly gazing down at his bride as she stood in his arms. The couple even had photos of their 'first wedding dance' in a ballroom. A few candid shots could also be seen of the bride and the groom, including a pose in front of the make-up mirror. At certain angles, the doll bride almost looks real.
Reactions are mixed to this atypical wedding. While many are intrigued and appreciate the sensational photographs that have gone viral, others expressed their doubt. Many among the Chinese netizens believe that the whole wedding is nothing more than a marketing stunt.
The bridegroom's identity remains unknown to date.
