Donald Trump takes great pride in his notorious golden combover – but he tried another famous hairdo on for size in a new promo for his Saturday Night Live hosting gig this weekend.
As the promo starts out, SNL cast member Kate McKinnon stands alongside Sia who is known for her flamboyant wigs. “Sia, I’m so glad you’re back at SNL this week,” Kate tells her. “Thanks.”
When Sia asks McKinnon who's hosting the episode, Trump joins the two women on stage – wearing a matching black and white Sia wig of his own.
"Sia, I love this hair," he declares.
Trump plops an outrageous wig on top of his head. The hairpiece is meant to mimic the one worn by the episode’s musical guest, Sia — though he comes off as half-Cruella de Vil, half-Cousin It.
In another, similarly promo, Sia asks Kate if she’s going to announce who the host is. “He told me he wanted to say it himself,” she responds. Can you guess what happens next? “I’m Donald Trump,” he says, popping his head in for one quick second before popping back out. “Busy man,” Kate says.
The presidential candidate hosted "Saturday Night Live" this week, turning his controversial appearance into both a punchline and a reality.
Much like on the campaign trail, the Republican frontrunner didn't hold back during his monologue, diving right into jokes about Rosie O'Donnell, protesters angry about his hosting the show and even fielding an interruption from Larry David.
The real estate mogul was joined on stage by various versions of himself, each bringing their best Trump charm and favorite lines as he exclaimed that this show has been "a disaster" for him but he's back because he knows "how to take a joke."
Next week, the show will welcome actress/director Elizabeth Banks, who stops by to host and promote the release of Mockingjay Part 2. She'll be joined by musical guest Disclosure along with special guests Lorde and Sam Smith.
