Chocolates: The Godd and The Bad

Chocolate may taste heavenly but there are also reasons why people shouldn't eat too much of it.

There are four types of people in this world: those who have eaten chocolate, those  who are eating chocolate, those who will eat chocolate and the those who are all of the above. Like who wouldn't bother biting into the sweet stuff? Thought it tastes wonderful and brings everyone to be transported to such beautiful experiences, chocolates have advantages and disadvantages too.

Chocolates have anti-oxidants that can lower one's cholesterol and blood pressure and lessens bad cholesterol. When chocolates are consumed, it produces anti-oxidants in the body that prevents premature aging.

Chocolates are rich in flavonoids and gallic acid that reduces the risk of heart problems. Gallic acid have elements present in it that helps protect cardio. There is also a compound called Flavonol present in chocolates that prevents the clogging of arteries and protects the skin from getting sunburns.

It also lessens the risk of cancer and helps one to digest well.  Eating chocolates, especially dark chocolates can help one to see better and clearly.

On the other hand, dark chocolates are high on calories with high fat and sugar. There are elements present in it that have addictive properties which are caffeine, theobromine and sugar that can drastically elevate one's mood.

Since chocolates are high on sugar, sugar promotes tooth decay and consuming too much sugar can already cause the symptoms of heart disease.

Eating chocolates can possibly cause one to be more exposed of having migraines because of vasoactives amines.

Chocolates are also low in vitamins and minerals.

There's nothing wrong with appreciating chocolates, chocolates are both good and bad for one's body but it is such an indulgence because of its heavenly taste and if eaten with limit. Negative effects will result if eaten otherwise.
