Ex-fighter pilot Yves Rossy, also known as Jetman, has done several stunts in his lifetime.
One time, he used his jetpack and fled in formation with another pilot in Dubai.
After that, he decided to fly around the world's tallest building, Dubai's Burj Khalifa. The video was even shot in a stunning 4K resolution.
Now, Jetman Yves Rossy - in his latest stunt - recruited parachuter Vince Reffet once again, to fly around in their jetpacks, and go into formation with an Emirates airplane, an Airbus A380.
Mashable reports:
"In the stunt, once again available in 4K resolution, the pilots whir incredibly close to the airplane as it flies above the Dubai skyline. The airplane's size - the A380 is the world's largest passenger airliner, some 238 feet long - gives a great sense of scale, showing how incredibly small the pilots' jetpacks really are."
Yves Rossy explains the gravity of the stunt: "We will be mosquitoes flying with an eagle or a condor.
Never mind the fact that this stunt would be difficult for anyone to do, but how do they even catch these feats being done on film?
Michael Rudolph, head of aviation regulations & safety of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority said:
"Yeah, we're looking at a human being that has a Kevlar wing strapped to their body, with four engines and flying in close proximity to an aircraft that is absolutely enormous."
As it turns out, shooting the whole occurrence was just as difficult. Every single detail of the stunt had to be planned meticulously and carefully.
"To reduce these risks, there will be a lot of preparation," said Rossy.
In addition, there was a team of videographers trying to catch the whole thing from another, much smaller plane. Watch the "making of" behind-the-scenes video below.
