One of Victoria's Secret's leading ladies appears to be a fallen Angel.
Longtime model Candice Swanepoel is battling the flu — just five days before she's supposed to walk the runway in the lingerie brand's world-famous fashion show.
"Possibly the worst time ever to get flu," the blond beauty posted on Instagram, along with a photo of herself wearing an oxygen mask.
The timing is definitely not preferred as the highly-anticipated runway show featuring the likes of Lily Aldridge, Alessandra Ambrosio, Shanina Shaik and Joan Smalls is set to be recorded on Tuesday.
Despite the ailment, Candice still managed to look breathtakingly beautiful as she sported minimal make-up on her face other than mascara for her long eyelashes and pink lip.
Her signature blonde locks were tucked behind her ears as she sported a black velvet top in the self-taken snapshot.
It's unclear if the illness will prevent her from stripping down to her underwear and walking the catwalk. Victoria's Secret has not yet commented on her illness.
The 27-year-old Swanepoel, who has donned the sexy lingeries in eight consecutive Victoria's Secret Fashion Shows, seemed excited to appear again this year. Last week, she posted several snapshots on Instagram of herself being fitted in high-end bras, panties and angel wings for the show.
The VS show is known for being one of the sexiest events of the year and features million dollar jewelled bras and exquisite lingerie.
This year's Victoria's Secret show is returning to its native New York and will feature the brand's ten new Victoria's Secret Angels - as well-seasoned veterans such as Adriana Lima and Alessandra.
Victoria's Secret announced in April that models Kate Grigorieva, Taylor Hill, Elsa Hosk, Martha Hunt, Jac Jagaciak, Stella Maxwell, Lais Ribeiro, Sara Sampaio, Romee Strijd, and Jasmine Tookes all earned their wings.
Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner were also recently added to the roster, with musical acts by Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, and Ellie Goulding.
After the show is pre-recorded on November 10, it will then air in the US on December 8.
