Nashville welcomes Justin Timberlake.
During the 2015 CMA Awards, " 'N Sync member performed on-stage along with Chris Stapleton upon airing the second hour of the show. Their performance gave an additional dose of star power in the 2015 CMA Awards.
They began to duet "Tennessee Whiskey" and "Drink You Away" which brought the entire audience on their feet.
"To all of the artists that have to follow @ChrisStapleton & Justin Timberlake ....we're sorry," Kelly Clarkson tweeted minutes after the performance. "Should have closed with this #CMAAwards2015."
"I'll never get over that performance. #CMAs.," Miranda Lambert added
He won New Artist of the Year and Album of the Year during the night. He had released his debut solo album in May.
"We had these nominations and thought we were gonna get, maybe, a slot to perform," Stapleton told Good Morning America. "So I called him up and, and asked him if he'd be interested in doing it and he was like, 'Yeah man, I'm in. Just tell me when to show up.' So here we are, we're gonna do it!"
Jessica Biel, Timberlake's wife definitely enjoyed the show. She tweeted during the show a picture from the venue with a caption of "Date Night!" Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks were all seated beside them.
Timberlake tweeted a clue on how he will end the night.
"I will be doing plenty of this tonight!!!" he wrote on Twitter with a link to his tequila business. With a presentation like that, drink whatever you'd like! A celebration will definitely happen.
"Some people might want to burn me at the stake for it, or burn him at the stake for it," Mr. Stapleton told Rolling Stone Country of the partnership. "Who knows? But we're going to have a good time."
