Fans of singer Becky G will be glad to know that their idol is about to embark the life of being an actress of the hit 90s TV series Power Rangers, as it releases its reboot in the silver screen about 2 years from now.
Latinos Post reported that Lionsgate Movie's official Twitter page announced on October 30 the singer's participation on the movie as the Yellow Ranger. The company posted saying, "#BeckyG (@iambeckyg) is suiting up as the #YellowRanger in the #PowerRangersMovie! Let the countdown to 2017 begin." They also linked their Instagram followed with a post of the singer's face and name as the Yellow Ranger.
This is not the first time that Becky G was given an opportunity to venture into acting since she has been invited to work on the hit TV series Empire. She is working with Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard these days, which everybody in the industry would say is a big deal. On Empire, she plays a young Latina pop singer who is wants the whole nine yards when it comes to being in the music scene. She was originally from a girl band, but then decided to run her career solo.
The pop singer, who is known for her hit song "Shower", couldn't help but show her enthusiasm being part of the movie reboot of the famous 90s show that she took to Twitter what she thinks about the whole news. Becky G posted, "I am a @PowerRangers. My favorite color is yellow. It's like it was meant to be."
The singer is gracing almost all major publications in town like Seventeen Magazine. The teen magazine also shared the good news to the singer's fans and they too are excited to see her doing some action roles in film.
