[SPOILER ALERT]
People knew that something odd is happening or is going to happen when Dr. Andrew (played by Blair Underwood) somehow lived and untouched after the explosion in a convenience store, from last night's episode.
The reason behind that is because Dr. Andrew has been secretly mutating into Lash. Since the season premier, Coulson (played by Clark Gregg), Daisy (played by Chloe Bennet) and the team have been trying to figure out who was the vicious cold-blooded thing that had been wandering around haunting and killing inhumans. Though the identity of the inhuman will still remain a mystery to them for a long time, on the other hand, May (played by Ming-Na Wen), Andrew's ex-wife already knows the secret. So overall, it's only the audience and May who knows the secret.
Fans were intrigued by the fact that Lash is actually a human, and could turn from inhuman to human at any given time. They were curious of who could Lash be, is it someone that they have never seen in the series before? Or is it someone whom they already knew from the series?
Ever since that last episode, fans were ecstatic about finding out whom Lash really is. They have been spreading out their theories and pointing out legit reasons why Dr. Andrew could be Lash.
Blair Underwood even told in E! news, that the theories that the fans have been throwing were quite impressive since some of them were actually true and on-point. He also said that he felt somehow relaxed that the secret that he had been keeping for more than a month or so is finally out.
The producers told Underwood what was happening to the character that he was playing. On his birthday, August 25, they had told him that his character, Andrew will be Lash and his reaction? Obviously he was happy about it. He even said that what the producers told him on his birthday is probably the best gift he ever received.
