Gwen Stefani has talked about her divorce from Gavin Rossdale in an explosive new interview with fellow "The Voice" star Carson Daly on 97.1 AMP Radio.
Us Weekly reported that the 46-year-old singer reminisced her chaotic summer when she and her ex-husband surprised everyone as they announce their separation after more than a decade of marriage in August. "My life is so extreme right now," the newly single musician opened up to Carson during the interview. "My life basically blew up in my face. And now I'm in this new life, and it's pretty awesome I have to say -- I'm so inspired and being back on the show, and just being in a new place. Everything just feels new. I just feel inspired. I don't know how else to describe it."
Gwen also divulged that the experience of separating from her 50-year-old partner after 13 years of marriage has inspired her to open up through her music. She also recalled what it was like getting back to work after her painful split.
International Design Times reported that the songstress even termed the process as very spiritual. As a matter of fact, she revealed to Us Weekly in Beverly Hills at the 2015 UCLA Neurosurgery Visionary Hall that she has not been working on her physical appearance.
Going back to the interview, Carson even joked how Gwen is so verbal about her split on the reality singing competition. "You talk about it: While shooting this show, you went through such a traumatic experience," Carson noted to "The Voice" coach. The singer then interrupted and joked: "I feel like I'm going to throw up right now."
Gwen then opened up concisely about attending Jared Leto's Halloween party this past weekend with fellow "The Voice" coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. "I was literally that party girl that you hear about when their life blows up, and you're like, 'Yeah! I'm going out! Like, watch me!'" she replied. "We're just trying to have fun. You know?"
