The hit children's show "Blue's Clues" on Nickelodeon was made famous by host Steve Burns and the sad part? The rumor that spread and was believed for a long time that he had died. It has been a while since news about his demise was reported and now here's a new one published by MSMBC. The publication said that Burns got into a car accident around 7pm in Route 422, Reading, Pennsylvania.
The report included details of the accident saying the Nickelodeon host suffered head trauma and when the cops arrived, it was too just too late to save him. But there's a little bit of inconsistency with their report when they also wrote that Burns actually died upon arrival at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. That could be a clue that the whole thing was a hoax.
It became believable to readers when they included the network's spokesperson James Vanderbilt sending his condolences to the host and his family. "This is obviously a tragedy. We're shocked and saddened by this news. Steve was a positive role model to millions of children who invited him into their homes everyday. His passing is a great loss to countless fans and to all of us here," quoted by the publication.
Burns read the report himself and cleared that he is very much alive. He even posted on his Twitter announcing fans that it was nothing but a hoax. The rumor said he was also driving a Dodge Challenger. The host was clearly not happy about the news, but he was just trying to keep his cool on his post and even tried to just make fun of it.
He seems to get used to it since this isn't the first time he was reported to have died. Years ago there were reports saying he died due to heroine addiction.
