Eva Longoria Slams Telenovela Casting Report

Eva Longoria's Televisa Telenova gig isn't going to happen.

According to E! News, the former "Desperate Housewives" star took to Twitter to clear up rumors suggesting the actress would be playing three different parts in three of the network's telenovelas.

The Latin Post reported on Tuesday that Longoria would be cast as the mother of former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant William Levy, in the "Cuna de Lobos".

The publication even used a quote that was reportedly by Longoria stating: "I'm thrilled to be a part of this amazing project, because working in Spanish and connecting to that audience it's something that I've always wanted to do."

The 38-year-old said on Twitter that the story is not true and the quote was made up.

The publication corrected the story and stated that the original source, The Latin Times, had produced the mistaken information.

"According to Longoria herself, the original source from the Latin Times quoted in this story is mistaken. Latin Post was not responsible for the initial inaccuracies but simply quoted what was thought to be a reputable source. While the rumor quoted in this story has proved to be false, the article remains below for reference."

Longoria has been dating Televisa president Jose "Pepe" Baston, 45, according to E! News. Televisa is Latin America's largest media company.

"They looked like such a great couple," an insider at Art Basel in Miami told E! News of the pair. "She looks so happy and he is so madly in love with her. He wants her to be in the spotlight. He loved it when it was just him and Eva."
