Nashville Kills Off Character in 'Please Help Me I'm Fallin': Find Out Who!

On Wednesday, October 28, a multiple commercial hour teased the seemingly unlikely downfall of one of the show's lead characters, Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). It was actually her manager, Jeff Fordham (Oliver Hudson), who met his demise in a shocking twist at the end.

Nashville's promos teasing a "fatal" ending weren't kidding. However, the victim was hardly whom viewers were expecting.

Nashville is an American musical drama television series. It was created by Academy Award winner Callie Khouri and produced by R.J. Cutler, Khouri, Dee Johnson, Steve Buchanan, and Connie Britton.

Jeff Fordham, Oliver Hudson's slimey character, will no longer be working for country superstar Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere).

In a crazy twist, while trying to help Barnes come off the edge of a building's roof, it was the music manager who fell  to his death.

After her husband, Avery Barkley (Jonathan Jackson), filed for divorce Barnes was actually contemplating suicide.

Juliette is obviously the worst off right now. Not only is she dealing with her impending divorce from Avery, a curveball delivered to her at the end of last week’s episode, but she’s also likely dealing with a fair amount of guilt.

Couple that with her obvious addiction issues, and you have a recipe for disaster.

She spends most of this episode in the darkness or in slowmo shots, so you know she’s pretty far gone. Oh, and she attacks a fan who tries to take a selfie with her.

Hudson was promoted to series regular last season. However, he was switched back to recurring status after Hudson took a series regular role on another network series, Fox's freshman comedy-horror Scream Queens.

Following the explosive episode on Thursday, Hudson teased via Instagram, "What can I say about Jeff Fordham other than perfect human...His selflessness was only rivaled by his compassion and his love of squirrels. We will remember him for his smile, his charity work, his ability to hold his breath for a long time.. But most of all we will remember him for his love making, very loud and very quick, just like he lived his life.. #RIPfordham."
