Conor Oberst, the Desaparecidos frontman, has fallen ill in Jacksonville, Florida during a stop over. His medical condition causes the cancellation of the rest of their U.S. Tour.
Conor Oberst, the American singer and song writer known for his work in Bright Eyes and awarded as Best Songwriter of 2008 by Rolling Stone Magazine, was hospitalized due to anxiety, exhaustion and laryngitis prompting the cancellation of the remainder of the tour. Oberst will be returning to Omaha, Nebraska to recover.
On the band's Twitter account, @desaband tweeted out to the fans that Oberst needs to rest his voice as per doctor's orders. Because of the doctor's advice, the band reluctantly agreed to cancel all scheduled live concert dates, the band's website announced.
Before the US Tour started, the band was excited to share with everyone their songs from their new album "Payola." This was the band's first album in 13 years and was released in June 2015. The lyrics on the album were politically charged and they were prepared for people to hate what they're trying to say.
