The former Olympian had a simple birthday lunch, a day early at The Villa in Woodland Hills, California for her 66th birthday on Tuesday.
An eyewitness told ET that she was joined by the Keeping Up With the Kardashians girl squad, Kourtney, Kim and Kylie. The source adds that "everyone seemed very upbeat and ready to have a birthday lunch a day early. There were also two black boxes (perhaps bearing gifts!) that were also brought inside the restaurant." Another source tells ET that they arrived at the restaurant at around 1 p.m. "The staff really tried to give them their privacy," the source even adds.
Kendall Jenner and Khloe Kardashian were not spotted at Caitlyn's early birthday get-together, which lasted about an hour and a half.
Caitlyn's youngest daughter, and currently the social media queen - Kylie Jenner posted a selfie with her dad on Instagram and captioned it with a sweet message that says: "Early birthday lunch with @caitlynjenner, Happy birthday dad what an amazing year for you."
Kylie wore a wig with bangs, dark lipstick and a black Alexander Wang dress. While Caitlyn wore a minimal makeup that looks perfectly good on her - complementing her black patterned blouse and the right shade of her pink lipstick.
This is Caitlyn's first birthday since she came out as a transgender. Looking back in her Vanity Fair interview she said, "Bruce always had to tell a lie. He was always living that lie. Every day he always had a secret, from morning to night," Caitlyn confessed behind the scenes at her Vanity Fair photo shoot at the time. "Caitlyn doesn't have any secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I'm free."
Her choice to tell the world who she really is, paved the way for her to land her own TV show, I Am Cait, among other opportunities, she wouldn't have had it not been for her coming out.
