Taylor Swift Delivers an Acoustic Emotional Version of 'Out Of The Woods' While Playing the Piano

It has been a year since the release of Taylor Swift's chart topping pop album, 1989 and to celebrate that glorious moment, she released an acoustic piano performance of her song "Out of the Woods" that she recorded on September 30 at the Grammy Museum's Clive Davis Theater.

She made a short introduction of the inspiration behind her yet to be released song, Out of the Woods,

"I'm going to play you a song that I wrote about a relationship that I was in that the number one feeling I felt in the relationship was anxiety because it felt very fragile. It felt very tentative," she continues,

"I think a lot of relationships can be solid, and that's what you hope for - solid and healthy - but that's not always what you get," she said.

"And it doesn't mean that it's not special and extraordinary just to have a relationship that's fragile and somehow meaningful in that fragility."

Since the first unofficial release of the song, rumors were strong that this is actually about her on and off relationship with One Direction's Harry Styles. But TayTay kept mum about the said issue, letting these rumors die their natural death.

The striped down version of the song gives a melancholic feel of a love that used to be there and how relationships can sometimes be a series of push and pull. The lyrics were co-written by Bleachers' Jack Antonoff. All throughout the performance, Taylor did a beautiful take of the melodies in the piano, packed with emotions that transcends throughout her acoustic performance. She made a tweak on the arrangement when she was singing the chorus and the bridge, but those adagios's complemented her powerful vocals.

The singer-songwriter has been spending a lot of her time this year, touring for her 1989 album that will be concluded on October 31 in Tampa, Florida.
