Yeezy season is upon us again. Adidas has just announced that the first collection from their highly publicized collaboration with Kanye West will hit stores on October 29. On the same day, the duck-boot inspired Yeezy Boost 950 will also be released.
Following this, another colorway of the low-cut Yeezy Boost 350 runners will launch on November 14. Adidas' tweet didn't mention which color the Yeezy's will be dropping in, but many sneaker sites are reporting that it will be the tan version previously seen on Kanye's feet during the MTV Music Video Awards.
West has dominated the fashion landscape for most of 2015. Ever since the unveiling of his first collection during New York Fashion Week in February, the conversation around clothes - and sneakers most especially, has revolved around the rapper.
Footwear News recently named Kanye's first sneaker release, the hi-top Yeezy Boost 750, the sneaker of the year.
"The sneaker releases dominated the market in 2015 as demand for the product crashed servers, sparked extraordinary resale value and created a need for mob control in stores. From the moment Kanye West unveiled the 750 high-tops on the Grammys, his Adidas sneakers have been the most-coveted, most-talked-about, most-recognised shoes this year." Says the release.
During his revealing two-hour interview with ShowStudio, West talked about the creative process behind his sneakers. "We sell shoes that people want to line up for because we put love in them, we put heart in them, we want to make Christmas presents, we want to make something that people want so bad that it hurts them if they can't have it," Said West.
With Yeezy season 1 finally on its way to stores, West is turning his attention to his second collection. He recently released a 9-minute silent film to promote the follow up.
