Yeezy Season is upon as once again. In February, Kanye West grinded the fashion world to a halt with the release of his first footwear collaboration with sportswear giant Adidas, the hi-top Yeezy 750 Boost. Now the rap icon and budding fashion designer is at it again. His next Adidas collaboration, the low profile running inspired Yeezy 350 Boost is set to be released this weekend and already has fans across the globe in a frenzy.
Reports on social media show that some fans began lining up at select retailers as early as Monday to have a shot at snagging a pair of the coveted kicks.
Adidas Confirmed Mobile App, which was designed especially for high profile sneaker releases such as this, has already suffered from a myriad number of technical glitches as users flock to the app to try and reserve the shoes.
The International Business Times reports that shoppers have flocked to twitter to vent their frustration with the service. Irate customers are reporting dropped reservations, sluggish loading times, and in some cases the app even failing to open at all.
The upcoming sneaker is set to retail for $200. The shoe is composed of a one piece knitted upper atop a Boost sole. Like it's it hi-top predecessor, the 350 boost features Adidas revolutionary foam technology which helps increase comfort and reduces impact on key points of the foot.
Unlike the ultra-limited numbers of Kanye's first Yeezy release, the 350 boost is being given a much wider launch with many more retailers added into the mix. Earlier this year in an interview with Ryan Seacrest, West promised fans that "everybody who wants Yeezy's will get Yeezy's." Judging by the ruckus the shoes are already causing, that may not be the case.
