According to PEOPLE, Phillip Phillips, American Idol season 11 winner, has gotten married! The 25-year-old, singer exchanged " I do's'' on Saturday, October 24 with his longtime love Hannah Blackwell.
The couple got married at their hometown in Resora Plantation in Albany, Georgia in front of 250 of their closest friends and family.
The radiant bride wore a Hayley Paige wedding gown, while the dashing groom sported a Billy Reid tux. The couple exchanged custom vows.
Speaking to PEOPLE before he got married, Phillip said: "I'm so excited. What I love most about her is she's my best friend and I can tell her anything. I just love her."
The couple were already together before he rose to superstardom on American Idol. Phillip and Hannah met while volunteering at a women and children's shelter in 2009, according to E! News.
The couple met at an event for his sister's charity organization Mission Change nearly seven years ago. They grew up in the same hometown of Leesburg, Georgia.
After the series finale, Phillips opened up about his relationship to American radio personality, television host Ryan Seacrest (American idol).
Phillip and Hannah got engaged at Christmas.
The couple were scheduled to travel for their honeymoon after the reception on Saturday, which may actually be a welcome reprieve for Phillips after it was announced just last month that his new manager is being sued by American Idol for $4 million.
Legal documents claim, as first reported by TMZ, that the singer was poached from Idol's management company 19 Entertainment, and they want $4 million in compensation.
In January, the singer, calling the agreement one-sided and unfair, filed paperwork to void the contract he signed as an aspiring contestant on the reality show.
While he was on tour with John Mayer, Phillips met Michael MsDonald's of Michael McDonald's Mick Entertainment, and signed a new contract with him.
