Despite earning big from his chart-topping albums and singles, and even starring on two television series, Nick Jonas reveals he still pays rent and Ellen DeGeneres is his 'landlord', Cosmopolitan reported.
During his interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the queen of daytime speaks out, saying "I don't know if anyone knows this probably not, but I am your landlord.", adding that the 23-year old "Levels" hit-maker never misses to pay on time.
Reports say that besides the fact that Jonas pays rent as he stays in DeGeneres' home, the singer insisted he's willing to take every precaution to meet the conditions since DeGeneres opened her doors.
"I have everyone that comes in my house uses a coater so there's no rings on the tables which is good," he continued.
DeGeneres on the other hand, handed the soulful hunk with a set of customized coasters and later placed a set of saran-wrapped couches.
"I'm so nervous though the whole time I'm there because I know I'm gonna come on the show and check in and if anything's wrong with the house it's bad," Jonas added.
Besides talking about property, DeGeneres didn't stop there and later switched the topic to the crooner's seemingly complicated love life, asking how he survived the split-up with his ex-girlfriend, the former Miss USA, Olivia Culpo.
"It's an adjustment. I was with my ex now for two years and then when my life dramatically changed and I started touring and doing all these projects it was an adjustment kind of doing it alone." Jonas said.
DeGeneres quickly replied while brushing off some humor in reference to his rumored new love interest, Kate Hudson, who has been frequently linked to Jonas since September.
"You don't seem to be alone. There's someone who ends up being in the same city as you all the time coincidentally." She said.
Jonas, who sounded like he was trying to get away with DeGeneres' shady statement, replied "I'm never alone. I have you.
