After being at the top in the past two decades growing exponentially throughout the United States and all over the world, the Starbucks future seems bright, but that doesn't mean the coffee chain giant is about to step down in innovation, as they look into new proposals for the next few years.
It hasn't been long since the company launched its widely successful app that allows customers to buy directly online and even retreat gift cards and the like ahead of buying products at their stores - but Starbucks' future is far more complex than just releasing an app.
According to Get West London, the chain has just opened a new store serving alcohol in the UK capital, as it makes Starbucks' future clear as it ventures into turning into an evening venture as well as a morning coffee one, with wine and craft beers being served later in the day, from 4 to 9pm.
WTOP reports a similar Starbucks future in Washington, D.C., as five of the already-existing locations in the District of Columbia have now requested alcohol licenses, possibly to observe the same model as London's Star Reserve Bar, which aims at a more fast casual kind of deal, as customers will not have to go in line to make their orders but rather be served their drinks at the table.
According to EnGadget, this is part of a grander scheme on Starbucks' future, as the aim is to not only create a more intimate kind of space for evenings, but also to give a fresh technological look to the way things are done, as there's only a handful of staff members with tablets taking customer's orders, while patrons can also directly cater through their popular app.
Similarly, Taco Bell released a new concept, Cantina, which also serves alcohol, as the trend continues in traditional restaurants.
Could Starbucks' future be as successful as its past? Only time will tell.
