Sad news for fans of Castle on ABC because after the ratings were calculated this last episode, it is looking like its viewers are starting to get bored watching it. IB Times suspected that the roller coaster relationship between Rick (played by Nathan Fillion) and Kate (played by Stana Katic) has got the audience tired of following it, like are they really going to split or not this 8th season?
The episode that Castle aired last Monday called "The Nose, "went only to 1.1 rating according to TV by Numbers and that is not a good sign for the show, especially when they are expected to at least hit half of the 6.94 million viewers from the age of 18 to 49. This was by far the lowest number of audience that the show has gathered since it was aired. Sadly, it also is of the same level of the rating that it had from the episode before that and it is scary to think that it may get cancelled if the number of its viewers continue to drop.
In an interview with actor Nathan Fillion during the "Jimmy Kimmel Live" back in October 14, Kimmel kind of teased him about the show's low ratings now because of the sudden breakup of his character with Kate. Fillion acted shocked with his reply saying, "What?!" just like the fans of his show did when the split happened. Kimmel thought that the whole breakup was kind of weird and abusive and that's when Fillion also just played funny responding to it.
The actor remained with his sarcasm and sass during the entire interview, trying to take things lightly and just have fun from all the issues, but his fans didn't seem to like it. We guess that we all will just have to see what's going to happen on the next episode.
