Channing Tatum's fans are about to leap for joy as the good news of him continuing to play the role of Gambit is still very much on. 20th Century Fox is sure to make this project happen and it is just among the three other films that the company is bound to release next year.
Latinos Post confirmed that the story of one of the X-Men superheroes, Gambit, is indeed happening with Fox, already looking at October of 2016 as its release date.
In a report published by Screen Rant, it is looking like the movie has already found a director to work with it and it is none other than Doug Liman who worked on "Edge of Tomorrow." There are rumors circulating that Channing Tatum even personally reached out to Liman to work on the movie.
The publication, Collider said, that Liman is known to work even in tough schedules and hard productions because apparently, he has this reputation for his movies not exactly running the smoothest. This however, is not confirmed because there are still stories about Liman probably directing another installment to "Edge of Tomorrow."
As of the moment, this film is facing a lot of issues when it comes to preproduction, but it is starting to gain popularity even before the final decision for its actual production and release date because of Channing Tatum's role in the film. As everybody knows, his influence is high in the movie industry, which is why a lot of people are already raving about it.
But even though he is the confirmed actor for this job, he almost said no to this project because of some little differences. There is no final announcement regarding the casting just yet, but it is looking like Lea Seydoux (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) will also be a part of it.
