Netflix seems to be good in reviving lots of good shows from the past from Arrested Development to Full House and now Gilmore Girls. Rolling Stones wrote that the company is thinking of bringing back the famous series on TV with the same characters that they had back then.
Actors like Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham are said to come back and play their respective roles again in the new edition of Gilmore Girls. The production might start early next year while it has already been 9 years since the show ended.
The show's plot now changes as per The Hollywood Reporter's news saying that instead of the usual 12 series episode, this would be a 90-minute series divided into four. The original series was released by WB/CW, but Netflix has definitely made it more popular now that they are known for doing reruns.
Aside from the lead characters who are sure to be a part of this revival, showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino is also going to be working with the cast again. She wasn't able to work on the last season of the show due to an issue she had with her contract, but it is looking like she no longer has problems with that and fans will surely love her ideas on how she will end the series this time around. Melissa McCarthy however, has not yet been confirmed to be part of this revival although she became a huge part of the cast when it became a hit.
Fans and followers of the series couldn't be more excited now that this announcement has been made by Netflix. The streaming company has been widely known for resurrecting shows that people love from way back and they sure know how to make their customers happy.
