Lamar Odom Update: Former LA Laker Moving to LA Rehab Center for Recovery

Get ready Los Angeles, because Lamar Odom is coming back!

The 35-year-old former LA Laker will be relocated to a rehabilitation center in Los Angeles to maintain a steady recovery, said Entertainment Tonight, who received the information from multiple sources.

However, no one still knows when the transfer will happen - Lamar Odom is still staying at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where he was rushed to on Tuesday since having been found unconscious at Dennis Hof's brothel, Love Ranch.

"Everyone is waiting for the doctor's word right now but Lamar will be returning to L.A. for further treatment," said a source to the publication. "It will all be based on when he gets stronger and stabilized, but we are looking at a matter of days."

After days in a coma, Lamar Odom's condition is slowly - hopefully surely - showing good signs of improvement. In fact, a source also says that he is alert and stable," in addition to having the ability to breathe on his own, say a few words here and there, and being independent of a ventilator.

Even with these few good indications, Lamar Odom is "still considered to be in critical condition." Previous reports have claimed that Lamar was able to sit on a chair after being assisted from his hospital bed, but a source says that Lamar has not left his hospital bed even after being able to get up from it.

Lamar Odom is "still very weak as he is still undergoing dialysis to treat his kidney failure. The source says, "He is showing improvement in his condition, however, regaining complete organ function continues to be a top medical priority."

While E! News claims that a CT scan "came back clean," cognitive issues seem to be an incoming threat for Lamar Odom's future - which is where the rehabilitation will come in. Lamar, who has gotten help in communicating through the use of hand signals, also passed a swallowing test, which indicates a "promising sign of neurological function."
