Donald Trump: George Bush Didn’t Keep U.S. Safe in 9/11

The Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump once again made noise when he said that he thought former President George W. Bush did not keep the United States safe from the unforgettable September 11-bombing in 2001. "...so when he said we were safe, that's not safe."

Trump seemed to not have been affected by President Barack Obama's statement when the latter said that Trump will never be the U.S. president and is 'a classic reality TV character'.

Trump insisted that he was not meaning to blame the former president for the terrorists' attacks but ironically reiterated that the grievous incident that killed thousands of people happened under Bush's period in office. He even suggested that Bush's administration already knew about the attack but just did nothing.

He even confidently claimed on Fox News that if he'd been the president, the tragedy would definitely have never happened.

The aspiring candidate was not yet contented and even dared to take another shot at Jeb Bush, the former president's brother, who also happened to be Trump's rival for the presidency. Trump provoked Bush over his brother's term with regard to what happened with Twin Tower and attacks in Iraq via Twitter. "Jeb Bush should stop trying to defend his brother," Trump expressed in his tweet October 18. He demands for Jeb Bush to focus on his own inadequacies instead and put everything back into working order.

Former Florida governor Jeb Bush did not let Trump's comment past and defended his brother in an interview with CNN. He remained firm and loyal to his brother and testified that former President Bush did his best for the country. He believed that 'majority of Americans' supported his brother too.

He concluded by stating his observations similar that of President Obama-that Trump lacks seriousness and talks like he is on the U.S. TV Series 'The Apprentice'.
