The United States' 2016 presidential election gets nearer and nearer every day, with candidates from both main parties campaigning to see who will be on their ballots as names like Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders are being thrown around - but with the 2020 campaign five years in the future, Lindsay Lohan's 2015 sees the troubled actress as a White House hopeful.
A few months after superstar rapper Kanye West (and Kim Kardashian's husband) said he'd be running for the White House in 2020 (it's still unclear whether he was joking or being dead serious about it), Lindsay Lohan's 2015 intentions for the presidency came out as well.
According to People Magazine, the actress let the world know about Lindsay Lohan's 2015 intentions through Instagram, as she posted a throwback picture of herself during the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2012 saying she may run for President in 2020.
"In #2020 I may run for president. Through ups and downs #YESWECAN lets do this @kanyewest," the actress captioned the Lindsay Lohan 2015 picture, then posting another one of herself with West.
As The Mirror reports, it's something of a long shot for Lindsay Lohan's 2015 ambitions, as at 29, the actress has struggled with more problems with the law and substance abuse than most people will deal with in a lifetime.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Lohan's platform seems to be all about taking care of "all the children suffering in the world," as she claims Queen Elizabeth has done with her since she's moved to the United Kingdom.
Earlier this year, Lindsay revealed she has plans to apply for British residency, which she'd be unable to do if she were serious about her plans to become U.S. president.
In any case, the 2016 campaign hasn't even officially started and the next one already sounds madly interesting with Kanye and Lindsay Lohan's 2015 possible candidacies!
