Bradley Cooper Hilariously Confirms His 'Engagement' with Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer announced her 'engagement' to Bradley Cooper on Saturday Night Live, but the actor says he wished they could have broken the news together.

"I thought it was gonna be a secret but she just decided to let the cat out of the bag," the actor jokingly tells Access Hollywood. "I texted with her after. I was like,'That was hilarious.'"

Cooper said it's not the first time he's been included in her act, as the comedian joked about marrying the American Sniper actor during her opening monologue on the sketch comedy show Saturday.

Cooper and Schumer were both part of Time's list of 100 most influential people in the world along with a handful of other Philly entertainers.

Schumer who's an American stand-up comedian and actress is also the creator, co-producer, co-writer and star of the sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, which has been airing on Comedy Central since 2013.

Amy has received a Peabody Award and has been nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on the series.Winning an Outstanding Variety Sketch Series in 2015.

Meanwhile, Cooper was actually dating Russian supermodel Irina Shayk, whom he spent time with this summer vacationing everywhere from the Italian coast to the Jersey shore.

Shayk was helping a maternity hospital in her hometown of Yemanzhelinsk. She is the official ambassador for Pomogi charity in Russia.

Cooper was also busy promoting his new film Burnt, which hits theaters on October 23, while Schumer's first HBO comedy special airs on October 17.

Burnt is an upcoming 2015 American comedy drama film directed by John Wells and written by Steven Knight. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Omar Sy, Daniel Brühl, Matthew Rhys, Alicia Vikander, Uma Thurman and Emma Thompson.

Bradley Cooper introduced a sneak peek of the film on Today Show on August 10, 2015. The Weinstein Company released the teaser trailer on August 14, 2015.

On September 21, 2015, the first international trailer was released while the first full-length trailer for the film was released by The Weinstein Company on September 28.

The film was previously scheduled to be released on October 2, 2015, but in July 2015, The Weinstein Company moved the release date back to October 23, 2015.
