Even though the billionaire and often controversial businessman has been leading the GOP nomination polls for a while, it seems like more often than not he's making headlines for saying the wrong thing and angering one group or other, and now, in her very first interview with CNN, Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka wants to set the record straight.
Just in case you were wondering, yes, Donald Trump's daughter with Ivana, Ivanka, definitely supports her father in his bid for the presidency, but she's well aware of how The Donald can come across sometimes, and the heiress is more than willing to interpret her father's words for him.
Speaking to CNN last Wednesday, Donald Trump's daughter, who currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at The Trump Organization, spoke about her father's recent attacks to Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and Carly Fiorina, which have caused him to be accused of being anti-women.
"Look, my father is very blunt. He's very direct. He is not gender specific in his criticism of people, and people that he doesn't particularly like or people that he does like but thinks they're wrong on a particular issue," Donald Trump's daughter told Poppy Harlow. "So I don't think that he's gender-targeted at all. Like I said, I wouldn't be the person I am today, I wouldn't be a high-level executive within his organization if he felt that way."
Though Donald Trump's daughter would seem to be interpreting her father's words, Newsweek reports that the model turned businesswoman spoke at length about not being one to do that, saying that she and her brothers were now working fully in the family company while her father pursued the presidency.
Politico recently released a profile on 33 year-old Ivanka, who has been in the spotlight for her entire life and joined her father in the office since she was a little girl, describing her as the calmer side of the Trump politics.
From the outside, it would seem like Donald Trump's daughter is the element of balance in her father's campaign.
