'Kingsman 2' Pushes Forward With Taron Egerton! Is Colin Firth Returning As Harry Hart?

It seems like Taron Egerton is everywhere since his breakout role as Eggsy in the film adaptation of 'Kingsman: The Secret Service.' The 25-year-old British actor will star with Tom Hardy in the biographical movie 'Legend' and is set to headline the highly anticipated 'Robin Hood: Origins.'

But before he plays Robin Hood, Taron Egerton has to come back for 'Kingsman 2.'

According to The Hollywood Reporter, 'Kingsman' director Matthew Vaughn is putting his foot down in making sure his star works on the sequel before heading off with the Merry Men.

Although it was initially planned that the 'Kingsman' sequel will start filming on April 2016 and 'Robin Hood: Origins' would begin principal photography in February next year, Matthew Vaughn exercised his option on Taron Egerton so the actor would need to work on 'Kingsman 2' before anything else.

The decision became a problem for 'Robin Hood: Origins,' but it appears that the schedule has been settled. The reboot has agreed to start shooting when Taron Egerton is finished with 'Kingsman 2' by fall 2016.

But the biggest question about 'Kingsman 2' still remains: Will Colin Firth return as Harry Hart aka the original Galahad?

Matthew Vaughn has previously addressed the possibility of bringing Colin Firth back to appease the fans.

"A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel but I'm coming up with ideas at the moment," Vaughn told USA Today. "If people buy tickets in America, I've got a feeling we'll figure out a way for having Colin back."

And it looks like Mark Strong's Merlin could be coming back as well, but with new recruits?

"Poor Mark Strong will be going on a journey that he never imagined," Vaughn revealed. "And we've got this idea to introduce the world to the American branch of the Kingsman."

'Kingsman 2: The Secret Service' will begin principal photography in April 2016.
