Lady Gaga has always been known for her eccentricity and her dubbing herself as the "Mother Monster" while she calls her fans "Little Monsters." These are just among the things that probably made singer Grace Jones say she couldn't find a soul in the world-renowned pop star.
That was how Jones described Lady Gaga the first time she ever met her in person. Christian Post reported that it was during an interview with SiriusXM's show called "Bevelations," when the iconic singer made a comment about the "Mother Monster."
Grace Jones grew up in a Christian family, but she doesn't really consider herself religious and when she met Lady Gaga, she just noticed that for some reason, she couldn't find a connection with her on any level. She also said that she felt that there was something off.
The 67-year-old singer explained her initial reaction as per Us Weekly's report saying that her growing up in church might have something to do with it. "I like to get to the soul of a person. I just didn't feel a soul," Jones said.
She continued commenting, "She might have been freaked out with meeting me." The "Mother Monster" has not made any comments on the issue so far.
For those who don't know, Jones came from a strict Christian background and her dad was even a minister and her brother is now a pastor in a large church in California, and is the star of a reality TV show called, "Preachers of LA."
The singer explained her faith to the publication The Guardian saying, "I believe in God, everything I see is part of God, but not in that way," she told The Guardian UK.
This is not the first time that Jones said something about other pop stars because she also made comments about rapper Nicki Minaj, pop singer Miley Cyrus and Rihanna.
