Bruce Forsyth Pulls Out Of His Show After Suffering Cuts and Concussion In Fall

On Thursday morning Sir Bruce Forsyth was hospitalized after tumbling over at his family home, according to BBC News.

The 87-year-old showbiz veteran sustained minor concussion and cuts to his face after hitting his head during the fall. Sir Bruce needed to pull out from doing his variety show 'Bruce's Hall Of Fame' after doctors advised him to take a rest from the entertainment for his full recovery.

Sir Bruce was supposed to take the stage of London's Dominion Theatre on Sunday to record 'Bruce's Hall of Fame' alongside famous faces such as comedian Catherine Tate and Pointless presenter Alexander Armstrong and former Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt. But after the incident, the upcoming show will be compered by Armstrong.

Although he's sad not to be part of the show he said that he is confident that Sir Armstrong can handle it. He wrote in a statement, "It is now in the most capable hands of Alexander Armstrong and I would like to wish him, the guests and the whole production team good luck on Sunday."

'Bruce's Hall Of Fame' is expected to be telecast in the new year.

This is not the first time Sir Bruce had to pull out of work due to unexpected circumstances. Two years ago, he pulled out from hosting a dancing competition, 'Strictly Come Dancing,' after suffering with a flu. In 2014, he announced that he is leaving the program and his role was taken by Claudia Winkleman, alongside his regular co-host Tess Daly.

After the announcement, 'Bruce's Hall Of Fame' marked his return to primetime on BBC One. Sir Bruce said at that time, "I'm delighted to be doing Hall Of Fame again. It's such a fabulous opportunity to make a variety show in a very modern way. And this year's cast have some show-stopping numbers to entertain us."
