Adidas has just announced through news, photos and videos that they will now be offering a 3D-printed footwear called as the Futurecraft 3D.
3D printing is one of the new innovations of technology that is now circulating the market. As this new process continues to evolve, the German multinational corporation has decided to apply the technology for the manufacturing of their footwear.
For the first time, Adidas made public the Futurecraft 3D, a running sneaker sole made from the technology of 3D printing which promises to offer the most advanced and comfortable footwear innovation.
According to Adidas, the new Futurecraft 3D is a distinctive 3D-printed footwear that can be custom-made depending on the specifications of an individual's foot. The new product which is part of the "Futurecraft" series aims to deliver a design of innovation and craftsmanship in a futuristic manner.

It can be seen in the said video that the whole sole is literally produced through the process of 3D printing. The new futuristic footwear will allow everyone to walk into any Adidas store and come out within few minutes with a pair shoes that specifically meet the demands of the user.
In a statement, Eric Liedtke elaborated the idea and innovation behind the new product.
"Futurecraft 3D is a prototype and a statement of intent. We have used a one-of-its-kind combination of process and material in an entirely new way," said by Executive Board Member of adidas AG, who is responsible for Global Brands.
Our 3D-printed midsole not only allows us to make a great running shoe, but also to use performance data to drive truly bespoke experiences, meeting the needs of any athlete," he added.
The new Futurecraft 3D was made possible through the company's partnership with Materialise, one of the first developers of 3D printing process.
